WHAT TO EXPECT

We are confident you will find your first visit both pleasant and enjoyable. Before beginning your initial exam, our assistants will spend time with you to discuss any problems or concerns you have about your teeth or your oral health. Following your discussion, we will take any necessary digital photos and x-rays using our state-of-the-art digital x-ray systems, which deliver 70-80% less radiation than traditional x-rays. Dr. Amy and the hygienist will then gather information to complete a thorough exam of your teeth, gums, and mouth, including an oral cancer, sleep apnea, TMJ, and periodontal disease screening. She will discuss with you any issues she finds and propose the options for your treatment, as well as answer any questions you may have. She may also take additional photos or a digital scan of your teeth to help explain any problem spots that she finds. Many times, if your teeth and gums are healthy, we will clean your teeth at your initial appointment if there is time. Amy, our patient coordinator, and Molly, our medical coordinator, will also be available to discuss any insurance and financial questions you might have.
